If you're not hearing any audio when you press play in Loopcloud, this could be due to a few reasons. This article will outline a few things you can try to get Loopcloud up and running on your system.
1. Check the Audio Preferences in Loopcloud - You can get to Audio Preferences by clicking on the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of Loopcloud, clicking on Preferences and then clicking on the Audio tab.
It's worth making sure that your Output device is the correct device for your system. You'll also need to make sure that this is the same preference that is set for both your system and your DAW. When you press the Test button with your Output device selected you should hear a sine tone. If you hear the sine tone (with your volume turned up!), you have the correct device selected.
If you still do not hear audio in Loopcloud after setting your Output device, you may want to try:
2. Press play in your DAW - If Loopcloud is connected to your DAW, you may need to initially press Play in your DAW to start audio playing through your instrument channel. Some DAWs may 'go to sleep' after a while, which will cause Loopcloud to stop playing audio through your instrument channel. Pressing play in your DAW should wake the DAW up, and allow your audio to be played.
3. Release Driver when Application is in Background - Some DAWs such as Cubase will have a preference to release the audio driver when the application is in the background. By default, this is not ticked, which may be preventing Loopcloud from playing audio. It's worth making sure that this is enabled in your DAW, which may resolve your audio issue when using both your DAW and Loopcloud.
